What is a medical package and how does it work?

A medical package (also known as a medical subscription) is a form of private healthcare provided by private medical facilities that operate on a subscription basis. Payment can be made once a year or in installments.

Patients using private healthcare have faster access to specialists and diagnostic tests. This allows them to avoid long queues and receive medical assistance at a convenient time – including evenings and weekends. Within the subscription you can benefit from:

• medical consultations (e.g. internist, pediatrician, cardiologist, gynecologist);
• laboratory and imaging tests (e.g. ultrasound, X-ray, blood tests);
• outpatient procedures and rehabilitation;
• dental care (in selected packages);
• home visits or teleconsultations (depending on the plan).

 

Types of medical packages – which one to choose?

At Medistore, individual, family, and children’s packages are available. Each package differs in scope of services and price, allowing flexible adjustment to the patient’s budget.

Individual medical packages

 

• Basic packages – include care from 10 specialists and basic diagnostic tests, suitable for those seeking primary healthcare.
• Standard packages – include a wider range of specialist and diagnostic services and care from 22 doctors. They are intended for people with more demanding health needs. Among them are also dental packages offering regular check-ups, hygiene, aesthetic treatment, and orthodontics.
• Premium packages (maximum) – include care from as many as 35 doctors and extended laboratory diagnostics.

 

Within the standard and premium options, there are also packages dedicated exclusively to children, which depending on the plan include care from doctors such as pediatrician, family physician, orthopedist, or ENT specialist, vaccinations, and basic laboratory diagnostics.

Family packages

Dedicated to families with children and couples. Family medical packages are a cost-effective combination of individual plans at one attractive price.

Children’s packages

Children’s medical care packages, depending on the plan, include consultations with doctors such as pediatrician, family physician, orthopedist, or ENT specialist, vaccinations, and basic laboratory diagnostics.

Dental packages

Dental packages (link: https://www.medistore.com.pl/c/stomatologia/pakiety-stomatologiczne) are available as separate products and include dental check-ups, hygiene, conservative treatment, and orthodontics – depending on the selected plan.

How much does a private medical package cost?

Prices start at 750 PLN, and comprehensive premium packages can cost up to 5,454 PLN. We offer flexible payment options, such as:

• one-time payment,
• annual subscriptions with monthly installments,
• prepaid cards – to be used in selected facilities.

 

Comparison of medical packages – which one to choose?

When choosing a healthcare package, you should consider:

• scope of services (consultations, laboratory diagnostics, rehabilitation, hospitalization);
• number of available specialists;
• location and network of facilities (e.g. Medicover, Damian Medical Center).

 

Before choosing a medical subscription, it is worth defining your health needs. If you require frequent visits to specialists, it is better to choose a package that covers a wider range of consultations. Older people may need a package including home visits and hospital care. Younger people may prefer a subscription offering a wide range of preventive tests.
