Do I need a referral to see a surgeon?

For private consultations, no referral is required. You can book an appointment without first visiting a general practitioner. In contrast, a referral is necessary for appointments under the National Health Fund (NFZ), and waiting times may be longer. How long does a surgical consultation last?

Can a surgeon issue a sick leave certificate?
