Diabetologist is a doctor specializing in metabolic diseases directly related to carbohydrate metabolism (e.g., diabetes).

Diabetologist diagnoses the type of diabetes, determines the dosage of oral medications, and, if necessary, insulin, and provides dietary advice.

As part of the telephone consultation, the doctor:

• conducts an interview,
• makes diagnoses,
• provides medical recommendations,
• may issue referrals for tests or consultations:
  • for consultations provided by Medicover – a referral for consultation or tests at a Medicover Center;
  • for consultations provided by Medicover Hospital – a referral for consultation at Medicover Hospital and for tests at Medicover Hospital or Medicover Center.

Important Information: During the telephone consultation, the doctor will perform all services that can be provided remotely. However, during the medical interview, it may turn out that an in-person visit is necessary to make a final diagnosis and determine treatment. The doctor at Damian Medical Center has access only to the test results and consultations conducted at Damian Medical Center. (The patient may also send a scanned copy of medical documentation from other facilities, e.g., test results, to wynikibadan@damian.pl at least 24 hours before the planned visit, and it will then be added to the patient's medical records and visible to the doctor during the consultation). The Medicover doctor has access only to test results and consultations conducted at the Medicover Center. For consultations provided by Medicover Hospital, the doctor has access only to test results and consultations conducted at Medicover Hospital and Medicover Center. Dear Patient, when booking a visit, you are purchasing a telephone consultation, not an in-person visit at the Medical Center.
