CGT Genetic Consultation
During the consultation, the geneticist will thoroughly explain:
- what the CGT test involves,
- how it is conducted,
- what the test results will look like.
The doctor will also conduct a medical interview and, based on the information obtained, recommend the most appropriate CGT test variant.
In some situations, the geneticist may decide to refer patients for a different type of genetic test.
The CGT genetic consultation is a mandatory step for patients wishing to undergo a genetic test for couples trying to conceive – the CGT test.
What is the CGT test?
It is a genetic compatibility test intended for couples trying to conceive. It helps detect recessive genetic mutations that may cause diseases in offspring.
The CGT test is recommended at every stage of trying to conceive – both during natural attempts and during treatment using assisted reproductive techniques.
Dear Patient,
The telemedicine consultation is available to any adult residing in Poland, regardless of previous treatment history. However, please note that by booking this service, you are purchasing a telemedicine consultation, not a visit to a specific infertility treatment clinic, such as InviMed. The cities displayed in the information above indicate only the location of the doctor's workplace.
Medical services are provided by the InviMed clinic in a telemedicine format during the period of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic. However, we reserve the right to change the method of providing these services if the epidemic status ends or if medical considerations justify the need for direct patient contact in a specific case.
Other important information:
- After the payment for the consultation has been received, a consultant from the InviMed infertility treatment clinics helpline will contact you using the phone number provided in the registration form. During the call, the consultant will schedule a time for the phone consultation or confirm it if it was previously reserved.
- The time of the reserved phone consultation is approximate – the doctor will contact you within +/- 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
- The phone call will be initiated by the doctor, who will attempt to make three calls 1-2 minutes apart from the number 500900887. If the call is disconnected, the doctor will try again to establish the phone conversation.
- The duration of the phone consultation for a couple is a maximum of 30 minutes, and if each patient wishes to have an individual consultation, each session will last up to 15 minutes (the total cost of the consultation remains unchanged).
- If the patient does not reschedule or cancel the consultation, and the doctor fails to establish contact three times, the consultation is considered completed, which means there will be no refund of the payment made for the consultation.
- All calls are recorded.
- When the doctor calls, the patient(s) will hear an automated message indicating a connection with the doctor for the consultation. The doctor will then verify your identity by asking for basic personal data, including your PESEL number.
- During the phone consultation, the doctor provides information and recommendations only regarding the patient for whom the service was booked.
- As part of the phone consultation, the doctor may provide recommendations and discuss possible next steps based on the health assessment carried out via telecommunication systems. If an in‑person physical examination is required, the user will be offered a visit to the InviMed infertility treatment clinic. All decisions regarding further medical management are made by the doctor conducting the consultation. The doctor cannot provide access to substances or documentation subject to specific legal restrictions. After determining the appropriate next steps, the doctor will give the user all necessary information on how to proceed.
- During the phone consultation, the doctor cannot:
- issue certificates or statements, particularly certificates of temporary incapacity to work due to illness, hospital stay, or treatment in a medical entity providing inpatient and 24-hour healthcare services, or certificates of the need to personally care for a sick family member;
- schedule appointments or arrange other health services at the InviMed infertility treatment clinic (for this, please contact the helpline at 500 900 888).
- During the telemedicine service, the doctor may advise the user to visit a medical facility, call an ambulance, or seek medical help from another healthcare provider or institution.
