Cardiologists consult patients with cardiovascular diseases (e.g. atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, disturbances of cardiac conduction or rhythm, heart defect, arterial hypertension).

During the consultation, a cardiologist:

• takes the patient’s history and performs a physical examination;
• makes diagnoses;
• provides medical recommendations
• issues referrals for tests and examinations, consultations and hospital treatments
• issues sick leaves.

During the appointment, a cardiologist may take your blood pressure.

Details of the examination:

A consultation lasts 20 minutes.
