- Scope of consultation
During the consultation, the doctor:
- conducts an interview and otolaryngological examination, including examination of the larynx;
- makes diagnoses;
- gives medical recommendations;
- issues referrals for tests, consultations with other specialists (e.g. speech therapist), hospitalizations.
- During the visit, the doctor may rinse the ear, remove the sutures and apply an ear dressing.
What does a visit to a pediatric otolaryngologist look like?
The visit takes place in a friendly, non-stressful atmosphere for the child. The doctor conducts a medical interview and examines the child - on this basis, he or she may order additional diagnostics or make a diagnosis and provide recommendations related to the treatment process.
