• Follow-up summary consultation with an internal medicine doctor - after analysing the test results, the doctor will assess the patient’s health in the context of symptoms and possible causes of brain fog and cognitive impairment, discuss the findings, and provide recommendations, including any need for further neuropsychological diagnostics.

Scheduling and validity

Once you purchase the package, a Medicover coordinator will call you to schedule visits, tests, and examinations at a date and time convenient for you and at the location of your choice.

Validity: the package is valid for three (3) months from the date indicated in the order confirmation.

How to use the screening package?

Choose a convenient location First choose the city and the Medical Centre,where you would like to do the tests included in the screening. Next, fill out the form with your details and pay for the purchase at the MediStore or the reception desk.

How to book an appointment for screening tests? The screening coordinator will contact you by phone within 24 working hours of your purchase. He/she will propose convenient dates for "Health Screening Package Brain Fog” tests and consultations at your preferred Medicover Centre. The coordinator will also be present during your stay at Medicover Centre and will personally direct you to the designated tests and consultations. For identification purposes, please bring a photo ID.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• The check-up is aimed at adults over 18 years of age.
• You have 3 months (from the date indicated in your order confirmation) to complete the tests in the screening package.
• You can undergo the screening at a Medicover Centre of your choice.
• To ensure the quality of your results, please prepare accordingly for blood tests and imaging studies.

How should I prepare for the health screening?

Blood tests – on the day before the test, you should limit exercise, have light meals and not consume alcohol. On the day of the test, you should arrive on an empty stomach, i.e. you should not consume any food or drink for 8 hours before the blood draw. If you need to take any medication or you are very thirsty, a glass of still mineral water is acceptable. A light meal is recommended up to 8 hours before the examination.

Consultation by an internal medicine physician – during this consultation, your doctor will interview you about the course of your COVID-19 and your post-COVID-19 symptoms. The doctor will assess you for potential complications in terms of brain fog. A physical examination will take place and your test results will be assessed. The doctor will assess your health and make recommendations for the future. At the end of the visit, the doctor will hand you a specially prepared package with documents: a summary of your health screening with recommendations and the original copies of your test results.

Please prepare for the tests according to the recommendations specified above. If you are not properly prepared, the tests may have to be cancelled or the results may be difficult to interpret. The costs of any repetition of tests will be covered by the patient.
