Pediatric Allergist Consultation
Pediatric allergist consults patients with allergic diseases (e.g., asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria, hypersensitivity to food, medications, allergies), qualifies for specific immunotherapy (desensitization), and conducts it during scheduled visits.

The pediatric allergist consults children up to 16 years of age.
Patients should arrive at the appointment no later than 15 minutes before its scheduled start time.

What does a pediatric allergist do?
A pediatric allergist is a doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating allergic conditions. They have the skills to make a diagnosis based on the clinical picture and test results.
A specialist in allergology is qualified to:
- conduct an allergy history interview and physical examination,
- perform skin tests to confirm or rule out allergies,
- analyze and provide advice on food allergens,
- conduct pulmonary function tests, nasal tests, etc.,
- carry out pharmacotherapy for allergic and related diseases.
Allergens do not form a single homogeneous group. They have no common chemical structure or composition. Allergens can come from plants or animals, or even be simple chemical compounds. In short, allergens can be anything. There are several groups of allergens:
- Inhalant allergens
- Food allergens
- Contact allergens
- Drugs causing allergies
- Insect venom allergens
When allergy symptoms appear in various forms, such as:
- hay fever with watery eyes, excessive sneezing, and throat irritation (inhalant allergens),
- itching, burning skin, and hives (contact allergens),
- persistent diarrhea, shortness of breath, migraines, drowsiness, and inflammation of the digestive system (food allergens).
If any of these symptoms occur, a visit to an allergist is necessary.
