How to schedule a health screening?
When completing the purchase, fill out the purchase form and pay for your order. At the phone number provided in the form, you will be contacted by the coordinator to schedule the tests and appointments at the most convenient time for you. At the same time, they will take care of the correct order of providing the services, so that the assessment of your health is comprehensive.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- You will have all gynaecological tests during 2 appointments at the Medicover Centre.
- You have 3 months (from the date specified in your order confirmation) to get your health screening.
- You can have your health screening performed at a Medicover Centre of your choice in the largest Polish cities: Warsaw, Cracow, Łódź and Katowice.
HOW TO GET PREPARED FOR MEDICAL TESTS?
Liquid-Based Cytology
- A cytological examination can be performed at the earliest 2 days after the end of menstruation and the latest 4 days before the start of the next menstrual bleeding - preferably in the first half of the menstrual cycle.
- No vaginal medications/preparations, tampons or vagina irrigation should be used 4 days before the examination.
- The patient should refrain from sexual intercourse at least 24h before the examination.
- If there is inflammation of the reproductive organs (as evidenced by vaginal discharge, among other things), it should be treated before the examination is performed.
Breast ultrasound
- A breast ultrasound is performed between the 1st and 10th day of the menstrual cycle or as recommended by the doctor.
Gynaecological ultrasound:
It is usually performed
- in patients of childbearing age: between the 5th to the 10th day of the cycle,
- in postmenopausal patients receiving HRT: 6-10 days after taking the last pill,
- in postmenopausal patients receiving sequential HRT: up to the 10th day of the cycle,
- in postmenopausal patients receiving continuous HRT: the timing of the examination is irrelevant.
If it is not possible to arrive at the Medicover Centre at the scheduled time for medical consultation, it must be cancelled calling the Customer Service Centre at +48 500 900 550. Otherwise, rescheduled tests or appointments shall be at the patient's expense.
