The Health Screening includes 20 tests: 14 laboratory tests, 4 ultrasound examina­tions, ECG, liquid-based cytology (LBC) and 2 medical consultations with a gynaecologist and an internal medicine specialist, to discuss the results of the tests. Additionally, an eye examination by an optometrist (including recommendations for corrective glasses if needed) and a dental check‑up.

This makes it more effective in identifying cancerous changes. Cervical cancer, when detected early, is almost 100% curable. The “Conscious Woman” Comprehensive Health Review can be carried out at any Medicover Medical Centre. Centers: Prosta in Warsaw and Tarasy Grabiszyńskie in Wrocław do not perform reviews for English-speaking patients.

We provide comprehensive health care Optometrist

As part of the health screening, patients can additionally undergo a free eye examination for the selection of corrective glasses, conducted by an optometrist in selected cities where Medicover Optyk or OKKO showrooms are located. The examination does not involve the selection of contact lenses. The appointment with the optometrist may be different from the appointments made at the Medicover Center. This visit takes place at Medicover Optyk or OKKO showrooms, not at the Medical Center.

Duration of the examination: approx. 30 minutes

Scope of the examination:

• comprehensive assessment of the refractive status (sight defect);
• eye accommodation assessment;
• binocular vision assessment;
• discussion of results and provision of recommendations to the patient;
• preparation of corrective eyewear recommendations

NEW! Dental Check-up

As part of this service, patients have the additional opportunity to get a free dental check-up in selected cities where Medicover Stomatologia centres are located. The appointment for the dental check-up may differ from the dates of visits scheduled at a Medicover Centre. This dental check-up takes place at Medicover Stomatologia clinics. It is recommended that adults have a dental check-up at least once a year.

Depending on clinical indications, the dentist will:

• conduct a medical interview,
• perform a dental examination,
• assess the patient's oral health,
• provide recommendations and an initial preventive and treatment plan.

The check-up does not include a panoramic X-ray.

For your convenience, the provision of services covered by the screening procedure is coordinated – you can have all the tests and consultations during just two appointments in the Medicover Centre. Women who, due to medical indications should receive mammography under the screening programme, attend an additional appointment for this purpose outside the Medicover Centre.
