Women’s Health Prevention is a package of 17 laboratory tests designed for all women who want to take care of their health.
Do you remember to undergo the preventive examinations that every woman should have on a regular basis? Preventive tests can detect diseases at an early stage, when they are still treatable, and in many cases help prevent serious health problems that may develop if left uncontrolled.
The tests included in the package can help detect, for example, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, anemia, thyroid disorders, as well as kidney and liver diseases. It is worth taking advantage of the package even if there are no visible symptoms.
The package is dedicated to individuals aged 16 and over.
The package is intended for all women aged 16 and over who want to regularly monitor their health status.
Blood glucose testing should be performed by individuals who are overweight or obese, or who have a family history of diabetes, due to an increased risk of developing the disease. Indications for this test also include symptoms such as increased thirst, weakness, recurrent infections, malaise, frequent urination in large amounts, intense hunger, rapid heartbeat, trembling, drowsiness, or double vision.
A lipid profile is recommended primarily for individuals at risk of cardiovascular diseases, including those who are overweight or obese, have diabetes, hypertension, and also as a preventive measure.
Triglyceride level testing is used to assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases in individuals with a family history of heart disease, smokers, those who are overweight or obese, have diabetes or hypertension, have low physical activity levels, or follow an unhealthy diet.
Preventive examinations enable the detection of diseases at an early stage, when they are treatable. In many cases, they also help prevent serious health problems that could develop without proper monitoring.

To schedule a home blood collection, select the city of Warsaw and then choose the facility “Home Visit (Warsaw)”. Within 24 business hours, a nurse will contact the patient to arrange the appointment date.
The service is provided from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., after prior appointment confirmation by the nurse, exclusively within the administrative boundaries of Warsaw for patients over 16 years of age.
The package is available at Medicover Centers.
In the case of a home visit, the service is available exclusively within the administrative boundaries of Warsaw.
You should fast before the test, maintaining an 8–12 hour interval between your last meal and blood collection.
If you are taking medications, consult your doctor in advance to confirm whether you may take them before the test. Inform the medical staff about any medications, supplements, or herbal preparations you are taking.
Try to attend the test well-rested and relaxed.
Avoid intense physical activity the day before and immediately prior to the test.
Rest for 10–15 minutes before blood collection.
Avoid alcohol for 2–3 days before the test.
Avoid large amounts of coffee and tea, as well as heavy and fatty meals, the day before the test.
Drink a glass of water before blood collection.
Note! Blood collection should take place in the morning (no later than 10:00 a.m.).
If a urine test is performed in addition to blood tests, you must bring a properly collected sample and hand it to the nurse during the visit.
Before the test, obtain a sterile, single-use container (available at pharmacies).
The urine sample should be collected independently by the patient into the sterile container.
The sample should be collected in the morning after a night’s rest, before breakfast and before drinking coffee or tea.
Before collecting the sample, thoroughly wash your hands and the urethral area (in women, the vulvar area from front to back) using warm water and soap. Dry with a disposable paper towel.
Collect a midstream urine sample into the container. The sample should contain 50–100 ml of urine.
Close the container tightly, store it in a cool place, and hand it to the nurse during the home visit.
Note! The urine sample should be delivered to the laboratory no later than 4 hours after collection.
The product is valid for 3 months from the date indicated in the order confirmation.
